Detroit’s Cobo Center will host the National Society of Black Engineers’ 45th Annual Convention March 27-31.
This year’s theme, Explore, Engineer, Elevate, will offer everything from activities for children, yoga, and Bible study sessions to professional networking, career fair preparation, speakers, and a hackathon.
“Our plan is to engage our members and guests as well as the surrounding communities of Detroit,” says Alanna Tremble, 2019 annual convention planning committee chair in a welcome letter. “The convention activities are designed to enhance participants’ knowledge to enable them to master academia, lead the revolution, explore inner creativity, and solve the challenges of industry…
“Detroit is the historic center of the U.S. automobile industry and the birthplace of ‘the Motown Sound.’ Today, it is America’s ‘Comeback City,’ becoming a major hub for budding small businesses while attracting major corporations and talent from across the globe.”
Registration is available here. Click here or visit the convention Facebook page or society’s Twitter page for more information.
