The National Black MBA Association will host its 2018 Annual Conference and Exposition Sept. 25-29 at Cobo Center in Detroit.
More than 10,000 professionals are expected to attend, and the conference will host a career exposition with exhibitors from 300 of the nation’s top companies. This year’s theme is OneVoice.OneMission.
Information sessions will cover leadership, technology and innovation, entrepreneurship, marketing, professional development, and education and workforce policy.
Representatives from Microsoft, Nationwide, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Capco, CenturyLink, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will be part of an expo stage.
Prep days of professional training will also be offered from Sept. 23 to 25. Preregistration is required.
The standard pass for the conference costs $225 for members and $500 for non-members. The premium pass, which also includes the Conference Educational Program Sessions, entry into luncheons on Thursday and Friday, and a ticket to MBA live on Friday, is $600 for members and $850 for non-members.
The platinum pass includes everything from the premium pass as well as a ticket to the MBA Live Thursday social and a ticket to the National Black MBA Association impact awards and is $925 for members and $1,000 for non-members. Other conference add-ons are available outside of a pass, each for an added fee.

The National Black MBA Association is an Atlanta-based nonprofit professional member-based organization that creates educational and career opportunities for black professionals. It hosted its first conference in Detroit in 1979, and it represents more than 12,000 members within 30 chapter, 33 Leaders of Tomorrow chapters, and more than 300 corporate and university partners.
