Greenbee Parking, a discount long-term parking service for airline travelers, has added the Hampton Inn in Belleville to its partnership. The company has worked with the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Belleville for the past year and plans to continue its expansion in the region.
“We do an analysis of each market/city and come up with a competitive price which benefits our customers and the partnering facility,” says Christine Cooper, a spokeswoman for Greenbee.
Greenbee’s pricing next to Detroit Metro Airport averages $4.50 to $5 per day and requires a minimum reservation of five days. Pricing generally varies on a facility-to-facility basis and takes into account gas prices and shuttle services costs. Overall airport parking price vary, but most lots and decks charge between $7 and $10 per day.
Participating hotels provide Greenbee with a certain number of discounted spots to sell via greenbeeparking.com/michigan/dtw. “The spots vary depending on availability at the facility and any excess spots they can provide that are not being used. It varies throughout the year,” Cooper says.
Those using the service are not required to stay at the hotel to use the parking service. A shuttle is provided to transport customers to and from the airport.
With the upcoming holiday season fast approaching, Cooper recommends customers book in advance to secure parking spaces.
