Lincoln Motor Co. today revealed more details on the 2017 Lincoln Continental at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The model will be available this fall in the U.S. and China.

“With the all-new model, we are focusing on creating more human, personally tailored experiences for our clients,” said Kumar Galhotra, president of Lincoln at a press conference. “(We provide) what we call quiet luxury.”

Galhotra said the vehicle’s headlamps, mat lights, and trim lighting will light up as they detect the key nearing the vehicle. He said the Continental’s door handles have a new E-latch door release that open with the touch of a button and are integrated within the beltline.

The interior of the vehicle features a sunroof covers nearly the entire roof area, and the front half slides up and over the rear. The Continental also has a leather-wrapped console and driver and passenger seats that can be adjusted to 30 different positions. Both front and back row seats include heating, cooling, and massage settings.

The 2017 Continental has a 3-liter V6 engine that produces 400 horsepower and 400 pounds per feet of torque. Lincoln Drive Control offers three settings — comfort, natural, and sport. The vehicle also comes with pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection and a 360-degree camera system.

The 2017 Continental will be produced at Ford’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant.
