Moceri Companies, a luxury homebuilder based in Auburn Hills, breaks ground today on an 11-unit loft-style residential development called Irongate on Eaton in Birmingham’s Rail District.

“Birmingham is a beautiful place, and it’s a great place to live, work, shop, and be entertained,” says Dominic Moceri, owner of Moceri Companies. “The Rail District is a unique corridor…”

Moceri says the development on the east side of Eaton between Villa and Hazel, will include two-to-three bedroom units ranging from 1,550 to 3,000 square feet, each with a 2-car attached garage, balconies, and private courtyards. The kitchens will have stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and custom cherry wood cabinets. The master baths will have floating tubs and separate showers.

He says the apartments will reflect the Rail District’s history by using brick, iron, and stone on the exterior of the units to give them an “antique feel.” The Rail District is a mixed-used corridor with more than 30 businesses, including the Goldfish Swim School, Griffin Claw Brewing Co., among other shops and art galleries. The lofts will cost between $3,000 and $6,000 a month to rent. They are expected to open in late summer of 2016.

Moceri Companies has built luxury homes in Bloomfield Township, Bloomfield Hills, Franklin, Northville, Oakland Township, Rochester Hills, Troy, and West Bloomfield. One of its most recent developments is the Pinnacle neighborhood in Oakland Township with 9,000 square foot, multi-million-dollar homes.
