National collegiate housing developer EdR has announced the opening of SkyVue, an 824-apartment community serving Michigan State University students and the downtown Lansing community.
The mixed-use living space was built in a joint venture between EdR and RISE: A Real Estate Company, and offers floor plans in one, two, and four-bedroom configurations, along with more than 4,000 square feet of retail space.
“We anticipate with its location to both the MSU campus and downtown Lansing, SkyVue will become a popular center that will bridge both communities,” says Randy Churchey, EdR CEO.
Apartment features include private bedrooms and baths, washers and dryers, furnishings, and granite countertops. The community features covered parking centers, a computer lab, a study lounge, and a 30-person hot tub.
While residency application is open to anyone, the environment is primarily focused toward students. SkyVue’s website even offers a ‘roommate matching’ feature for those who are interested in the community but don’t have anyone to live with.
“The grand opening of SkyVue serves not only as a milestone for our companies and our partnership, but more importantly as the mark of a mission accomplished in positively impacting the Lansing community,” says Ryan Holmes, CEO of RISE: A Real Estate Company.
EdR owns 90 percent of the development, and is responsible for leasing and management of the community. More information can be found here.
