tWhirlpool appliances will be available to customers of David Weekley Homes — the nation’s largest privately held homebuilder — starting this fall.
tThrough the new supplier agreement, customers of Houston-based David Weekley Homes will have access to kitchen suites and laundry choices available only through Benton Harbor-based Whirlpool Corp.’s brands — Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, and Jenn-Air.
t“This agreement is a great cultural and business fit, and we’re looking forward to the growth that comes from working with David Weekley Homes as the homebuilding recovery continues to gain ground,” says Bob Bergerth, a general manager at Whirlpool.
tDavid Weekley Homes builds first time, move-up, and luxury homes in 17 cities throughout the Midwest and southern United States. Among all builders, it was ranked as the 17th largest homebuilder in the nation, closing on nearly 25,000 homes in 2012, according to Builder magazine.
tWhirlpool is the world's leading manufacturer of major home appliances, with annual sales of approximately $18 billion in 2012.
