The Michigan Venture Capital Association has launched an interactive, searchable map with information about investors, entrepreneurs, and startups across the state.
“Whether our visitor is a high-tech company looking for investment, an out-of-state investor visiting Michigan and wondering to meet with while he/she is in town, or a Michigan Venture Capital Association member looking for syndicate partners, this interactive tool will simplify the search and ensure everyone in the country has access to the members of our Michigan venture community,” says Maureen Brosnan Miller, executive director of the nonprofit trade organization designed to bring together venture capital industry participants across the state.
Miller says the map allows users to sort by geographic location, business sector, or company/investor type. Site visitors can search by sectors such as alternative energy, consumer products, information technology, and biotechnology. Portfolio companies, angel investors, and venture capital firms are included in the map.
She says the resource is “invaluable for those hoping to make connections with Michigan investors.”
