Taylor & Colt, a full-service men’s barbershop and spa, is opening Tuesday in downtown Ann Arbor, with plans to open additional shops across the state.
“Opening our first U.S. location in a city like Ann Arbor is exciting as it will be our flagship and the benchmark for stores to follow,” says Tom White, owner of Taylor & Colt, a franchise based out of Toronto. “We’ve been diligent in creating a space that is functional, beautiful, and the kind of place that a modern man will enjoy spending time.
The 1,150-square-foot shop, 601 E. Liberty St., will feature eight barber stations and a private spa treatment room. The barbershop will offer services such as cut and style, shaving, waxing, and spa treatments such as facials and nail cleanups. Prices range from $35 for a wash, cut, and style, to $110 for a 60-minute facial.
A grand opening event on April 18 will offer free haircuts for walk-ins, appetizers from Slurping Turtle, and product giveaways. The menswear designer Joshua Kercher will also be on hand with a pop-up shop, offering the latest from his spring collection and exclusive deals on custom clothing with special student packages.
No date has been determined to open another location at the Village of Rochester Hills with plans to expand in Birmingham, East Lansing, and Grand Rapids.
