MedPost Urgent Care, a national chain of emergency care clinics, has opened a center in Livonia and plans to expand with clinics in Grosse Pointe, Rochester Hills, and Bloomfield Township, among other cities across southeast Michigan.

“Our goal is to be the gold standard for urgent care in the markets we serve, providing the right type of care at the right time, in a convenient and compassionate way,” says Alan Cason, CEO of MedPost. “Continuity of care is also important. We make timely referrals for patients to obtain follow-up and specialty care when needed.”

The walk-in clinic in Livonia, located at 11502 Middle Belt Rd., offers a variety of urgent care services including treatment for common illnesses such as a cold or an earache, treatment for children under 18, wellness physicals, and flu shots. The center is staffed with physician specialists in primary care, internal medicine, and emergency medicine, along with nurse practitioners and other health professionals.

A MedPost Urgent Care center will open in Bloomfield Township in December, to be located at 2274 Telegraph Rd., and a clinic in Grosse Pointe is expected to open next spring. A location has not been determined.

MedPost Urgent Care also plans clinics in Chesterfield Township, Sterling Heights, Rochester Hills, Canton Township, and Dearborn. The clinics are typically 3,000 to 4,000 square feet in size and are located near retail centers and grocery stores.

“We have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback and support from the communities where MedPost has opened a location, or will soon open a location,” says Robert Mihelich, first vice president of CBRE, a large commercial brokerage firm in Southfield that has been assisting MedPost with its expansion plans. “The locations are located along major retail corridors to better support families and the community at large.”

MedPost Urgent Care has 49 clinics in 10 states, including Texas, California, and Georgia, among others.
