Michigan Supply and Provisions, a medical marijuana dispensary brand, has opened a dispensary in Morenci, Mich. (southwest of Adrian, just north of the Ohio border). It is the first of seven stores slated to open across the state by the summer of 2020.
The company offers concentrate, edible, flower, pre-roll, tincture, topical, and vape products and says it is committed to health and wellness, a user-friendly retail environment with products categorized by effect, and an approachable staff.
“We have developed what we believe is a significantly different approach to the traditional cannabis dispensary model,” says Brian Thienel, regional director at Michigan Supply and Provisions. “We want to provide new access, certainly, but we also want to eliminate barriers to understanding for new patients. We offer superior manufacturing, production, and retail spaces. However, it is just as important that we remain focused on a patient-centric experience that is as inviting as it is affordable and accessible.”
The location will bring 20 jobs to the area, and the company’s plans for growth include adding hundreds of full- and part-time positions across the state during the coming year.
According to Michigan’s Marijuana Regulatory Agency Statistical Report, there are 283,770 patients with medical marijuana cards as of June 30, plus 39,500 caretakers with cards, allowing them to obtain marijuana for designated patients.
The Morenci store will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday and Monday and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
