McLaren Automotive, a British luxury sports cars and supercars company, has announced a new retailer in Troy. McLaren Troy is the first and only retailer in the region to provide McLaren sales and service operations and the latest addition to The Suburban Collection of dealerships at the Troy Motor Mall.

The new facility is expected to open in the fourth quarter and will include a 4,000-square-foot showroom. A temporary showroom will operate in the interim at 1755 Maplelawn Drive, also in Troy.

“The state of Michigan is a key area in the United States that we have not yet been able to properly service,” says Tony Joseph, president of McLaren North America. “With a deep base of both existing clients and potential customers in the region, we felt that Detroit and the surrounding areas needed a more localized point of sales and service, and we are delighted to partner with Suburban, who have a 70-year history of outstanding customer service in the region.”

The diversified Sports Series lineup of the 570S, 570S Spider, and 570GT, the Super Series 720S, and the Ultimate Series McLaren Senna are currently available. The McLaren Senna GTR and not-yet-debuted HyperGT codenamed BP23 that will begin production later this year will also be available. The Track22 business plan that outlines future product plans will see an additional 12 all-new or derivative models debuted by the end of 2022, half of which will be hybrid powertrains.

“With a rich tradition of racing, McLaren Automotive continues to produce some of the most powerful and iconic supercars on the planet,” says David T. Fischer, chairman and CEO of The Suburban Collection. “As we continually strive to offer our customers the widest array of top automotive products, McLaren’s incredible machines will wonderfully add to our diverse and unique portfolio of choices.”

McLaren Troy plans to celebrate its launch with a display of McLaren supercars at the Cars and Coffee event from 8-11 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, at the M1 Concourse at 164 South Blvd. W, in Pontiac. Entrance to the event is free.
