In time for President’s Day and the election season, the Chrysler brand has launched two commercials starring Martin Sheen and Bill Pullman as they reprise their presidential roles from The West Wing and Independence Day. The campaign includes TV and print ads, along with digital and social components.

In the ads, Sheen reprises his role of President Josiah Bartlett from the TV series, The West Wing, while Pullman returns to his role as President Thomas J. Whitmore from the movie, Independence Day. Pullman will again star as President Whitmore in Independence Day: Resurgence, which opens June 24.

The campaign, called Premium to the People, launches with two commercials featuring the Chrysler 200 and 300, available both online and on television. In the first two ads, Sheen stars as a “former president” driving a 2016 Chrysler 300, while Pullman is a “former president” driving a 2016 Chrysler 200.

Premium to the People conveys the state-of-the-art technology, key safety features, high grade interiors, and beautiful design while staying consistent with the Chrysler brand’s overarching message brought forward since Imported from Detroit,” says Olivier Francois, chief marketing officer of FCA Global.

The two spots, called The American-est and Swerve are available online. Premium to the People was created in partnership with Portland-based Wieden+Kennedy.
