The Scott at Brush Park, a new, high-end apartment and retail complex, pending approvals, will break ground this summer in Brush Park, a neighborhood within Detroit’s Midtown district and directly north of Comerica Park. The 5-story apartment complex will have a two-level parking deck, and include an outdoor pool and fireplaces.
The development, located on a 2.6-acre parcel of land at the corner of Woodward Avenue and Erskine Street, includes 200 apartments, expected to be priced around $900 for a studio apartment to $2,900 for a three-bedroom unit. The complex will also include 15,000 square feet of retail space.
Birmingham-based Broder & Sachse Real Estate Services Inc., the group behind the redevelopment of The Albert, a luxury apartment complex in downtown Detroit, is the lead developer of the project. Broder & Sachse says The Scott at Brush Park will have services comparable to The Albert. Apartments in The Albert feature stainless-steel appliances, quartz kitchen countertops, porcelain tile in the bathroom, and white wood cabinets.
Detroit City Council has approved the site plan, and the developer is in the process of finalizing financing for the project. Pending final approvals, the project will be completed by late 2016.
