Offering 212 new one-, two-, and three-bedroom luxury apartments, The Apex West Bloomfield has opened along Orchard Lake Road. The project developers are Hunter Pasteur in Farmington Hills, Soave Real Estate in Detroit, and The Forbes Co. in Southfield.
Located at 7020 Orchard Lake Road (just north of Cauley Ferrari), The Apex offers a dedicated concierge, a private dining room complete with a chef’s kitchen, and a 21,500-square-foot pool deck paired with an outdoor lounge with fire pits, grills, and outdoor cooking options.
Other amenities include a dog washing station, expansive parking, numerous EV charging stations, and a 2,500-square-foot fitness center that features the latest high-end fitness equipment. Residents also can take advantage of a host of concierge services, including grocery delivery, dog walking, personal trainers, housekeeping services, and more.
“We wanted The Apex to set a new standard for the community” says Randy Wertheimer, CEO of Hunter Pasteur. “This is a development you might expect to see in places like Chicago or Miami, but we thought there was an appetite for a truly amenity-rich and feature–rich residential community in West Bloomfield. The reaction from the community so far seems to bear that out.”
The Apex, which is close to a variety of specialty grocery stores, restaurants, retailers, and service outlets, is surrounded by parks and trails.
“We are extremely pleased to introduce The Apex to the community” says Anthony Soave, CEO of Soave Enterprises, a privately held company with significant investments and operations in real estate that encompass more than $5 billion of development across several states. “Meticulous craftsmanship, surprise art curations, and great construction quality is on full display at The Apex.”
Residents began moving into The Apex in August, and the pace of leasing of the 212 units has been brisk, according to the developers. Prospective residents can schedule a personalized tour of the luxury apartments through The Apex West Bloomfield website.
“We wanted to have a celebration for the community and our residents to officially welcome people to The Apex West Bloomfield,” says Nate Forbes, managing partner of The Forbes Co., which owns and operates the Somerset Collection in Troy.
“We were able to repurpose a former car dealership into one of the most anticipated new developments in West Bloomfield in many years. We are proud to open our doors and show people what we think is the best new residential community in Metro Detroit.”

In addition, the three developers are building Birmingham Pointe, a 152-unit luxury apartment community at 770 S. Adams St. in Birmingham’s triangle district (near Papa Joe’s Gourmet Market). Similar to The Apex West Bloomfield, Birmingham Pointe is scheduled to open in Q1 2025.
Hunter Pasteur and The Forbes Co. also developed Perennial Corktown, a new 195-unit apartment community at 1611 Michigan Ave. in Detroit (four block east of Michigan Central), along with The Godfrey Hotel at 1401 Michigan Ave.
