Oliver Thomas in Birmingham will launch a line of bags in November, including a variety of totes, duffle bags, cross bodies, train cases, cosmetic cases, and pencil cases.

Each product in the line is water resistant, and includes pockets with RFID (radio-frequency identification) blocking technology. Additionally, each product is customizable with adhesive badges that can be applied with a hairdryer.

The brand was developed by Sue Fuller, who has a background in management, merchandising, global supply chain, and product development.

Oliver Thomas says its products are practical, yet fashionable. The bags offer a variety of pockets and features, including slip pockets, key clips, wipe able interiors, hidden zip pockets, interior credit card holders, and removable cross body straps.

“What we’re trying to really build is a culture,” says Fuller, CEO and founder of Oliver Thomas. “What I noticed in the industry was people were starting to take themselves too seriously, but that’s not the way everybody lives today. What we created is a culture that’s fun and for real people, and the way they are actually living today?”

The line can be purchased in specialty retail stores and online. Oliver Thomas has offices in Birmingham, Massachusetts and China.
