Rove, a new metro Detroit-based fine jewelry collective, will host a private event featuring fine jewelry collections on Thursday at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

“I am excited to welcome my friends, designers, and the jewelry industry into Detroit’s creative community and help bring Detroit the attention it deserves,” says Christine Tobias Colman, founder of Rove who will be curating the event.

She says the event is designed to offer buyers and collectors the opportunity to view designer pieces, such as ear cuffs, signet rings, gemstone jewelry, and more, while also bringing attention to Detroit’s art scene.

Featured designers at the event include the husband-and-wife team Foundrae, Los Angeles-based Spinelli Kilcollin, and Alison Lou, the founder of an emoticon-inspired jewelry brand.

Works by designers Jade Trau, Van Der Velden, and Gemfields X Muse, will also be on display at the event, along with a handpicked selection of fine jewelers.

The event, which is invite-only, will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and also feature cocktails and music. A percentage of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to The Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

Founded in 2016, Rove curates pop-up events throughout the city of Detroit. Colman is also a consultant for New York-based diamond jeweler Jade Trau. She’s also held positions at diamond wholesaler Lazare Kaplan International Inc.
