Novi-based Lineage Logistics, the world’s largest temperature-controlled industrial real estate investment trust and logistics solutions provider, has acquired Frigorificos de Navarra, an operator of refrigerated warehousing and storage facilities based in Spain. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Frigorificos was founded in 1987, and its services include blast freezing, tempering, and modified atmosphere storage services, among other offerings for food and beverage customers. With nearly 20 million cubic feet of capacity, Frigorificos’ automated freezer facility offers the opportunity for future expansion.
Lineage’s acquisition of the company also involved an asset purchase from Frioastur, a cold storage warehouse also located in Spain. Built in 1963, the facility spans 1 million cubic feet of storage capacity and provides cold storage, handling, picking, transportation, and facilities services.

Lineage owns and operates facilities in 16 countries across North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Lineage has 2.1 billion cubic feet of space.
