Phoenix Theatres, which operates three southeast Michigan theaters, is in the process of renovating each auditorium in the historic, four-screen State Wayne Theatre in downtown Wayne.
The remodeled theatre will feature fully reclining leather seats, new carpeting, reconfigured aisle spacing to provide guests with six feet of leg room, new sound technology, and increased digital picture size.
With renovations already under way and are expected finished by early December — just in time for the holiday season, and with no ticket price increase. For the inaugural post-renovation showing, the theatre plans to show The Hobbit, and Night at the Museum 3.
“We remain true to our mission at Phoenix Theatres of focusing our attention on making the customer experience the best we can offer, where every seat in the house is the first class section,” says Cory Jacobson, owner of Phoenix Theatres.
Phoenix Theatres recently purchased the State Wayne Theatre building from the city of Wayne in mid-September. In addition to State Wayne, the company operates 10 screens at Laurel Park Place in Livonia and eight screens at the Mall of Monroe in Monroe.
