Lansing-based Green Peak Innovations, a vertically integrated marijuana company and Michigan’s largest medical and recreational license holder, will begin selling recreational marijuana products at its Ann Arbor Skymint store on Thursday. The location is the company’s first Skymint-branded retail store to offer recreational products.

“This is a historic moment for our company, but more importantly, it’s another step towards destigmatizing and legitimizing our industry,” says Jeff Radway, co-founder and CEO. “We are thrilled to offer patients and recreational consumers a full range of premium marijuana products through a safe and secure supply chain.”

Skymint will offer flower, pre-rolls, edibles, and concentrates as well as accessories and devices. Medical patients will not be impacted by the start of recreational sales, Green Peak says. The company has worked to preserve the availability of products and optimize service.

The store is located at 1958 S. Industrial Highway and is open from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. every day.

In addition to the Ann Arbor Skymint store location, the company holds an adult-use retail license for the Skymint White Cloud location at 194 N. Charles St., White Cloud, which will begin adult-use sales at a date yet to be determined.

Green Peak was one of the first in Michigan to be awarded a Class C license which, paired with the awarded recreational processing license, allows for the cultivation of 10,000 plants for adult-use wholesale and retail sales at the company’s grow facility in Dimondale, Mich. The company has 12 Class C licenses and 18,000 plants for medical marijuana cultivation.

Skymint provisioning centers offering medical products are in Bay City, Newaygo, and Nunica. Green Peak plans to open stores in Flint, Hazel Park, Lansing, Traverse City, and more early this year. Its brands include Skymint, North Cannabis, Jolly, Evoxe Laboratories, Agata, and St. Jade.
