tMade In Detroit, owned by Kid Rock, will serve as the official provider of clothing, merchandise, and collectibles for the 2014 Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, which will be held May 30-June 1.

t“We are proud to partner with Kid Rock and Made In Detroit and we know our fans will be excited to see the new line of products they will produce for the 2014 Grand Prix,” says Bud Denker, chairman of the event. The new line will be available at DetroitGP.com next month.

tThis announcement comes on the heels of a report showing that the 2013 Grand Prix generated $46.3 million in spending — a $1 million increase from the year before — in the metro Detroit region.

t“The Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix continues to be a very positive force for Detroit and southeast Michigan,” Denker says. “We know that the event shines the light on Detroit and Belle Isle on an international level with race broadcasts seen around the world, and it’s also great to see how much of an impact the Grand Prix has on the local economy.”

tRace tickets — which now include free round-trip shuttle transportation to and from Belle Isle from two downtown Detroit locations — are available for purchase on the event’s website or by calling 866-464-7749. Admission to the Raceway at Belle Isle Park venue will be free of charge on May 30.
