Jet Linx Aviation, a Nebraska-based private jet company with a dozen base locations across the country, will open a facility at Oakland County International Airport in Waterford Township in the first quarter of next year.
“We’re excited to help support the companies and individuals driving the revitalization of Detroit with a local, guaranteed private jet service,” says Jamie Walker, president and CEO of Jet Linx.
Walker says clients will be able to choose from two programs — one for customers who do not own a plane want to fly private and the other a management package for private jet owners. He says the Jet Card membership offers guaranteed availability of a jet. The management program provides jet owners with services that includes guaranteed charter-revenue and fleet discounts on fuel, maintenance, pilot training, and insurance.
Walker says clients will have their travel coordinated from a private terminal facility at the airport by a local client service team.
Jet Linx Aviation, founded in 1999, operates 65 aircraft and has more than 1,000 Jet Card members. The company has operations in Atlanta, Houston, Indianapolis, Dallas, Denver, Omaha, San Antonio, Scottsdale, Ariz., St. Louis, Tulsa, Okla., and Washington, D.C.
More than 550 aircraft are based out of Oakland County International Airport, which has about 12,000 takeoffs and landings annually.
