The Jeep brand introduced its new Cherokee Overland at the New England International Auto Show, a mid-size SUV that features body-color fascias with a bright front grille and chin extension. The vehicle, with a starting price of $34,695, arrives at dealerships in the spring.

“The new Cherokee Overland model is a direct response to consumers looking for benchmark 4×4 capability,” says Mike Manley, head of Jeep Brand at FCA Global. “Cherokee sales increased 23 percent in 2015, and we expect the new Overland model will attract even more consumers into our Jeep showrooms going forward.”

Manley says the 2016 Jeep Cherokee Overland has body-color door cladding and wheel flares, along with 18-inch polished bright aluminum wheels. He says the interior features a leather-wrapped instrument panel, a steering wheel with high-gloss wood trim, leather seats with heated and ventilated front seats, Uconnect radio with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, and Bluetooth, among other features.

Safety features include blind spot monitoring, rear crosspath detection, and a rear backup assist system.

“Our minivan customers are looking for flexibility in their lives and rides, so we developed a vast array of quality-tested, authentic parts and accessories specifically geared for this new Chrysler Pacifica to suit any style or need,” says Pietro Gorlier, head of parts and service at Mopar.

Gorlier says Mopar is offering nearly 100 accessories for the vehicle. Selections include a cargo bin made of heavy-duty plastic that fits in the floor storage area; a foldable soft-sided cooler that fits in most spaces and can hold up to 18 cans; carpet and all-weather mats; and a roadside safety kit, among other offerings.
