With the Super Bowl and National Pizza Day both falling on Feb. 9, Hungry Howie’s in Madison Heights has announced an addition to its menu — the Hangry Howie pizza.

The new offering features a combination of the brand’s signature sauce and original fresh dough, 100 percent mozzarella cheese, Italian sausage, red onions, along with green and mild peppers. The Hangry Howie is available for $15.99.

“At Hungry Howie’s, we know that National Pizza Day and the Big Game are sacred occasions for pizza fans,” says Jeff Rinke, vice president of marketing and product development at Hungry Howie’s. “As part of our Secret Menu, it highlights our commitment to surprising and delighting our guests with unique creations that are guaranteed to be the MVP of the table.”

The Hangry Howie is available at participating locations nationwide. Guests can unlock the pizza maker’s Secret Menu and place orders for the new pizza online, in the app, in-store, or by scanning the dedicated QR codes that are displayed in-store.

Hungry Howie’s began as a 1,000-square-foot hamburger shop in Taylor that has since turned into a carry-out and delivery pizza chain with more than 500 locations in 21 states.

Hungry Howie’s is a leader in the national pizza segment, and specializes in offering free Flavored Crust options, including Butter, Asiago Cheese, Cajun, Butter Cheese, Sesame, Garlic Herb, Ranch, and Italian Herb. Additionally, the franchise offers a selection of calzone-style oven-baked subs, Howie Bread, fresh salads, and more.

The company also hosts its annual Love Hope & Pizza campaign, which has supported the National Breast Cancer Foundation for the past 15 years. The campaign marks its commitment to giving back to local communities and educating people about breast cancer awareness.
