PENN Entertainment has agreed to add an additional six autonomous security robots (ASRs) from California-based by Knightscope, a developer of autonomous security robots and blue light emergency communication systems, to its Hollywood Casino at Greektown.
This expansion includes two Knightscope fifth generation K5s, and four K1 Hemispheres, bringing the total number of robots under contract for the casino to 14.
Hollywood Casino at Greektown is the ninth PENN property to procure Knightscope ASRs under a larger master agreement signed last fall. PENN operates 43 integrated entertainment, sports content, and casino gambling properties in 20 states, under brands including Hollywood Casino.
The master agreement enables corporatewide expansion of Knightscope technologies to PENN’s 43 properties across the United States. Knightscope stated that the benefits of selling to existing clients include shorter sales cycles, higher close rates, better margins, and an optimized cost-to-serve.
