Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital and Premier Private Physicians Management of Troy and Clarkston have formed an alliance that allows patients in southeastern Michigan to receive direct access to their primary care physicians at all times.

“This affiliation gives our patients access to the world-class hospital services and specialists of the Henry Ford Medical Group,” says Dr. John Blanchard, CEO of Premier Private Physicians Management. “When it comes to quality health care, access is everything.”

For a fixed monthly fee, patients can have direct access to their doctors, either in person, by phone, or by email. Blanchard says patient appointments are about an hour long, on average, and can be scheduled on short notice with little wait time. Patients receive unlimited office visits with no co-pays or deductibles throughout the year.

“This model is a win-win for patients and physicians,” says Dr. Lori Washe, a family medicine specialist at Premier Private Physicians. “My patients appreciate having more time to spend with me and I appreciate having more time to devote the care necessary to create individualized plans for each of my patient’s optimal health and well-being.”

Nine states, including Michigan, have direct primary care laws and five more have legislation pending.

Premier Private Physicians serves approximately 2,000 patients. It also has contracts with corporate executive teams, including FCA, United Shore Financial Services, Continental Automotive, MASCO, and FANUC.
