Hazel Park’s Motor City Industrial Acquires Smith Fastener of West Virginia

Motor City Industrial of Hazel Park has acquired West Virginia-based Smith Fastener, increasing the company’s product and service offerings, and broadening its customer base. Terms were not disclosed.

Motor City Industrial and its affiliated companies now serve more than 20 states from seven locations with 135 employees.

Smith Fastener was founded in 1965 and is a distributor of industrial consumables and ancillary products throughout North America from three locations in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

Founded in 1965, It offers more than 20,000 parts, including corrosion-resistant coating services for mission-critical parts. Smith also offers supply chain engineering and technical support, and in-house emergency fabrication of custom MRO components to minimize downtime for its customer-partners.
