Gucci has opened a new Men’s boutique today at the Somerset Collection in Troy. This marks the first dedicated Men’s store for Gucci, further emphasizing the importance of the category and introducing the offering to the market.
Situated across from the dedicated Women’s store on Level 1 of Somerset Collection South, the Men’s boutique spans more than 5,000 square feet and showcases a wide collection of men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, luggage, small leather goods, belts, jewelry and watches, and eyewear.
The store’s interior design features a combination of traditional and modern, and industrial and romantic elements. Highlights include custom patterned green carpeted floors and Gucci Décor’s Glade Print wallpaper.
Other details include technical, mechanical display units that contrast with the softness of the rich fabrics throughout the rooms; round tables offsetting rectangular ones; and varnished, black and gold iron wall finishes that complement moss green velvets. The space also includes fitting rooms as well as a dedicated VIP fitting room.
Throughout the store are comfortable chairs, while vintage oriental rugs are layered over the carpet for a textured effect.
As part of Gucci’s commitment to implement and enhance eco-friendly initiatives and energy-efficient technologies in the House’s stores worldwide, the new store has LED lighting to monitor and promote energy efficiency.
In August 2022, Gucci’s footprint in the market expanded with the opening of its new Detroit boutique, located on Library Street within the historic L.B. King and Co. Building (east of the Shinola Hotel).
