As part of its $60-million renovation project, Detroit’s Greektown Casino today opened its revamped and rebranded bar, Rock Bar and Lounge. The bar will feature signature cocktails and a wide variety of beers.

Jason Gregorec, CEO and general manager of Greektown Casino-Hotel, says patrons can “enjoy their favorite drink while playing video poker, all while watching their favorite sporting events.”

Gregorec says the bar, located on the lower level of the casino, features signature cocktails named after streets in Detroit and an extensive variety of beers. Rock Bar and Lounge offers contemporary décor, seven 75-inch flat-screen TVs, and nearly 30 video poker machines.

Gregorec says the bar replaces Asteria, which opened in 2011. The modernized bar is part of Greektown’s renovation project, which began last year. Enhancements include modernizing the interior, offering a new dining experience at PRISM restaurant, adding 400 new slot machines, launching a new players club program called GT Rewards, and installing a new HVAC system for improved air quality.
