Grand Blanc-based McLaren Physician Partners and Kentucky-based Humana Inc. have joined to expand in-network options for members seeking care at McLaren Health Care hospitals and outpatient facilities in Michigan.
The agreement also provides additional in-network access for Humana Medicare Advantage members to McLaren physicians and clinicians.

The deal adds in-network access for Humana Medicare Advantage Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), and Private Fee-for-Service (PFFS) health plan members at all McLaren Health Care outpatient facilities, as well as at eight additional hospitals: McLaren Thumb Region, McLaren Bay Region, McLaren Bay Special Care, McLaren Caro Region, Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, McLaren Flint, McLaren Lapeer Region, and McLaren Macomb.
These hospitals were added to six other McLaren Health Care system hospitals and ambulatory facilities in Michigan previously contracted as in-network for Humana Medicare Advantage members: McLaren Clarkston, McLaren Greater Lansing, McLaren Central Michigan, McLaren Northern Michigan, McLaren Oakland, and McLaren Port Huron.
The agreement also expands in-network access for members seeking primary and specialty care physicians and other clinicians who are part of McLaren Health Care in Michigan. It adds more than 1,200 providers for a total of 2,400 providers.
Humana’s total Medicare Advantage membership is more than 4 million members, which includes members affiliated with providers in value-based and standard Medicare Advantage settings.
