Southfield-based Etkin Acquisitions LLC has received approval from the Royal Oak City Commission to construct a four-story office development near the corner of 11 Mile Road and Main Street in the city’s downtown district.

“Its prime visibility along heavily-traveled 11 Mile Road, its on-site covered parking, and its convenient accessibility via two lobby entries will be strong advantages for successful businesses wishing to establish their presence in Royal Oak,” says Josh Suardini, vice president of Etkin.

Suardini says the luxury office center, to be located in a current city parking lot near the U.S. Post Office, will be built on a fast-track construction schedule. He says the building will feature 25,000-square-foot floor plates and secure parking, with offices overlooking downtown Royal Oak.

Suardini says the penthouse level will feature a private outdoor terrace. Second and third floor tenants will have access to a shared outdoor terrace with an outdoor kitchen.

“Our team looks forward to promoting business growth in Royal Oak with an exceptional office building in a superb location,” says Douglas Etkin, principal of Etkin. “This … office center will leverage Royal Oak’s position as a hub of cutting-edge companies.”

Etkin, founded in 1982, has also developed office buildings in Livonia, Southfield, and Texas. The company has also developed the mixed-use development College Park in Livonia, the Northfield Point Marketplace in Troy, the Hilton Gardens hotel in Novi, and the $29 million senior living center All-Seasons Birmingham.
