Ford Motor Co. in Dearborn and the Jeep brand of Stellantis in Auburn Hills are competing at the Rebelle Rally, an off-road navigation race. The annual competition features women teams navigating 1,500 miles of Nevada and California’s most rugged terrain.

Ford, an event sponsor, is supporting five teams, with four trying to extend the multi-year success of Bronco and Bronco Sport, while the fifth strives to complete the grueling course in the all-electric Mustang Mach-E Rally.

Jeep is a sponsor for the eighth consecutive year and is sponsoring teams putting the Wrangler 4xe hybrid 4×4 to the test.

The Rebelle Rally is the first women’s off-road navigation rally raid in the U.S. It not only showcases the ability of the vehicle entries, but also challenges the navigation skills of the participants. No GPS. No cell phones.

Each team consists of a driver, a navigator, and a vehicle, with no team support crew allowed. Participants spend their nights camping along the course.

The event will start at Mammoth Mountain on Oct. 12, wind its way across Nevada and California, and finish in the Imperial Sand Dunes in southern California on Oct. 21.

The two Bronco Raptor teams consist of Shelby Hall and Rori Lewis; and Laura Wanlass and Maria Guitar. Jessica Moore and Melissa Clark comprise the Bronco Sport team. The Bronco WildTrak team consists of Karisa Haydon and Trista Smith. Kaleigh Miller and Bailey Campbell will be taking the Mustang Mach-E Rally on its maiden desert voyage.

Jeep brand is again teaming up Nena Barlow and Teralin Petereit for the third consecutive year. Team 4xEventure will drive a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Rubicon and will work to defend the overall, electrified, and bone stock titles won the last two years in a stock Jeep Wrangler 4xe.

Jeep joins new Rebelle Rally partner Pennzoil in supporting rookie team Full Synd Sisters behind the wheel of a stock Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The team is comprised of sisters Alex and Megan Taylor. The Taylor sisters will be testing the limits of the Wrangler 4xe powered by Pennzoil Ultra Platinum motor oil.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum provides complete protection and unsurpassed wear protection in extreme temperatures, giving competitors confidence in tackling the torturous conditions of the Rebelle Rally.

“At the Jeep brand, we strive to build and deliver the best, most capable off-road 4×4 vehicles on the planet, and now that 4xe is the new 4×4, we continue to push the limits of our Jeep Wrangler 4xe at the Rebelle Rally, an extremely demanding off-road event,” says Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America.
