IWG, a Switzerland-based global provider of flexible workspaces, has added eight flexible workspace centers across Michigan, growing the brand’s presence in the state to a total of 25 locations.
According to IWG, the demand for hybrid working is growing. Seven of the new centers will operate under IWG’s Regus brand and one under its HQ brand. The locations will provide private offices, meeting rooms, and creative coworking spaces.
The new locations in Michigan are part of a drive by IWG to meet the sharply rising demand for top-class flexible working spaces. The goal is to bring high-quality office spaces to areas across the state, enabling local workers to experience living in a “15-minute” city, allowing them to work close to their homes without commuting far from where they live.
The new flexible workspaces will serve every type of hybrid worker with clients spanning established firms and start-ups across Michigan’s top industries, including advanced manufacturing, life sciences, engineering, technology, and more.
The eight new centers, which will include private offices, meeting rooms, coworking and creative spaces, are in the following metro and suburban areas across Michigan:
- 29777 South Telegraph Rd., Southfield under the Regus brand is now open.
- 2006 Hogback Rd., Ann Arbor under the Regus brand is now open.
- 22600 Hall Rd., Clinton Township, under the Regus brand is now open.
- 40900 Woodward Ave., Bloomfield Hills, under the Regus brand is now open.
- 300 Ottawa Ave. NW, Grand Rapids, under the HQ brand is expected to open in the third quarter of 2024.
- 501 S Capitol Ave., Lansing, under the Regus brand is expected to open in the third quarter of 2024.
- 5913 Executive Drive, Lansing, under the Regus brand is expected before the end of the first quarter of 2024.
- 24 Frank Lloyd Wright Drive, Ann Arbor, under the Regus brand is now open.
As the ongoing shift toward hybrid working accelerates, the potential for further growth is exponential with an estimated 1.2 billion white collar workers globally and a total addressable market of more than $2 trillion, according to IWG.
“We are establishing a stronger and much-needed footprint in Michigan with these new locations,” says Mark Dixon, founder and CEO of IWG. “As an important business hub, Michigan is a fantastic place for us to boost our expansion plans.
“The need for high-quality flexible workspaces continues to soar as hybrid working becomes the new normal. We are very pleased to work in partnership with these building owners to develop the coworking spaces under a management agreement that will add a cutting-edge workspace to their building.”
