Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Ariz. will auction off the first retail production all-electric 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, VIN 001, with 100 percent of the hammer price benefiting the Detroit Children’s Fund.
The vehicle, donated by the Cadillac brand of General Motors Co. in Detroit, is its first all-electric, full-size SUV. The sale will be part of the 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction from Oct. 10-13 at WestWorld of Scottsdale.
“We’re honored that Cadillac is bringing the sale of their first retail production Escalade IQ to Barrett-Jackson,” says Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “This is a tremendous opportunity for someone to own an incredible piece of automotive history. We are proud that 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of this vehicle will support children’s education throughout Detroit.”
The Escalade IQ is built on GM’s modular EV propulsion architecture, linked to a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup that delivers more than 200 kWh and a Cadillac-estimated range of 460 miles. It boasts a Cadillac-estimated 750 horsepower and 785 lb.-ft. of torque when using the Velocity Max driver mode, for a 0-to-60 mph time of less than 5 seconds (Cadillac estimate). It features standard Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology with three years of the OnStar Super Cruise plan.
“The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ redefines what a luxury SUV can be,” says Mark Reuss, president of GM. “It brings iconic design, the utmost craftsmanship, and the latest technology.
“We’re excited to work with Barrett-Jackson on the auction of Escalade IQ VIN 001, with every dollar of the proceeds going to the Detroit Children’s Fund.”
Inside the Escalade IQ is a curved 55-inch total diagonal pillar-to-pillar display, along with an available 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system when equipped with the available executive second-row seating package.
The package includes 14-way power-adjustable, heated, ventilated, and massaging second-row seats, along with a center console featuring stowable tray tables, dual wireless charging pads, 12.6-inch-diagonal personal screens and a rear command center. Drivers and passengers also can enjoy the panoramic fixed-glass roof, as well as an available power open-and-close exterior door entry system.
The entire sale price will benefit the Detroit Children’s Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring Detroit children receive a quality education. Barrett-Jackson has raised more than $155 million for charitable causes over the past 53 years.

With the addition of the Tesla Supercharger Network, GM customers will have access to more than 231,800 public Level 2 and DC fast chargers in North America – a number that will grow as the automaker continues to help accelerate the deployment of infrastructure in communities and heavily-traveled corridors through its various charging collaborations.
GM approved NACS DC adapters first will be made available to customers in the United States, followed by availability for Canadian customers later this year.
“GM’s ongoing efforts to help accelerate the expansion of public charging infrastructure is an integral part of our commitment to an all-electric future,” says Wade Sheffer, vice president of GM Energy. “Enabling access to even more publicly available fast chargers represents yet another way GM is focused on further improving the customer experience and making the transition to electric more seamless.”
To access the Tesla Supercharger Network, U.S. customers will be able to purchase a GM approved NACS DC adapter through GM vehicle brand mobile apps for an MSRP of $225 USD. Customers also will be able to use the same apps to locate available Tesla Superchargers, check station status, initiate a charge, and pay for charging sessions.
To help ensure a positive customer experience, GM plans on leveraging multiple suppliers to produce approved NACS DC adapters. Each adapter has been developed to ensure customers can charge their GM EVs at chargers that utilize the North American Charging Standard.
