Auburn Hills-based Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV today introduced the cabrio version of the popular Fiat 500 1957 Edition introduced last year. The new retro-styled Fiat 500c 1957 Edition features a dual-layer power-operated cloth top.

"The Fiat 500 1957 Edition celebrates the spirit of the original 1957 Nuova 500, and with the arrival of a cabrio version, we are adding open-air fun to the iconic Italian-designed Fiat 500 1957 Edition,” says Jason Stoicevich, head of Fiat Brand for North America.

When the liftgate is opened for trunk access, the cloth top automatically retracts back to the rear-spoiler position to avoid obstruction.

The car also has 16-inch aluminum wheels, vintage Fiat badging, and either brown or ivory leather interiors. The Cabrio is available in either white, light green, or blue.

The MSRP for the vehicle is $24,700.
