Ferndale-based Flyball, an IT solution provider, has opened up an office in Detroit’s Midtown district that will offer managed services and outsourced IT support.

“Many of the companies that we interviewed in the area didn’t have a reliable IT person or company to contact when they ran into issues,” says Courtney Griffith who will lead the managed services practice in Detroit. “So, we have really focused on creating quick and simple mechanisms to allow people to engage us if they need support on a one-time basis or if they need monthly support at a fixed cost.”

Griffith says the Detroit office, at 4160 Cass Ave., will focus on delivering IT solutions and staff augmentation to small and medium sized companies and charter schools. The company also offers a hosted phone system through a Flyball-owned subsidiary called detroitPBX. The subsidiary offers support and management of the business phone system.

Flyball, founded in 2005 in Ferndale, started as a computer repair business. The company now has 10 employees and offers a variety of IT services including web development, disaster recovery, and hosted phone systems.
