Auburn Hills’ Faurecia, an automotive technology company, today signed a strategic partnership framework agreement with FAW Group, a leading Chinese automobile manufacturer, to develop cockpit of the future technologies and sustainable mobility solutions.

Several fields have been defined within the cooperation, including developing cockpit of the future solutions and services for a personalized and intelligent user experience, in particular for the Hongqi (Red Flag) luxury FAW brand, as well as the industrial design and perceived quality for this brand; developing connected, versatile, and predictive seat solutions for different use cases and driving mode scenarios; and providing zero-emission and air-quality technologies for commercial and passenger vehicles in the fields of battery pack and fuel cell systems and lightweight composite solutions.
FAW Group manufactures cars, trucks, and buses. It was established in 1953 and is one of China’s largest automotive groups. Faurecia was founded in 1997 and has 290 sites, including 30 R&D centers, and 109,000 employees in 35 countries. Its global headquarters are in France.
