Ohio’s Fast Switch, a staffing firm, has announced its northern business division in Livonia will become a separate business, Fast Switch – Great Lakes. It will be owned and managed by Carey Pachla, current president of the division.

There will be no changes in operations or management for clients and employees. The new company has 300 employees.

“Because our former business units were always run autonomously over the last 16 years, there will be zero disruption to our valued team members and clients,” says Pachla. “This is the natural progression as my former business partners move on to the next chapters of their lives. We’re excited for what the future holds and wish the original founder, Mark Pukita, all of the best in his future endeavors.”

Pachla’s career spans 22 years, and she has served as president and in other roles with the Michigan Council of Women in Technology. She has also served on the council’s board as well as the boards of GreenPath Inc. and Wayne State University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business.

“As a prominent supporter of women in tech, I’m excited to move forward as a woman-owned business enterprise,” says Pachla. “As always, our No. 1 goal is to help people write their own success stories. I’m proud to say that we have a wonderful team of very successful professionals who are well-respected among clients and candidates alike.”

Fast Switch – Great Lakes has business in Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Maryland, New Jersey, Arizona, and Colorado, with other states expected to follow.
