New Jersey’s Hudson is introducing Farmington Hills-based Plum Market to the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. In a joint venture with HG Multiplex DFW, Hudson will license and operate the new 2,400-square-foot location. It is expected to open in mid-2020 and feature a restaurant and bar.
Plum Market offers organic and all-natural foods. The airport location also will offer grab-and-go options as well as convenience items such as natural, organic, and sustainably sourced candies, snacks, and beverages.
“We could not be more excited to partner with Hudson at DFW Airport,” says Matt Jonna, co-founder and CEO of Plum Market. “We believe our concept will bring fresh and healthy offerings many travelers will appreciate.”
The partnership signifies Hudson’s first restaurant and bar operation in the airport. The restaurant will integrate with an American Airlines gate hold room and be located at Terminal B. Hudson is a travel experience company with more than 1,000 stores in airports, commuter hubs, landmarks, and tourist destinations across North America.
“Broadening our food and beverage offering is a key growth opportunity for our company as we monitor demand for natural, healthy options from passengers,” said Roger Fordyce, CEO of Hudson. “We’re delighted to partner with Plum Market to bring its organic and environmentally-kind choices to travelers and staff at DFW Airport.”
More than 73 million passengers traveled through DFW Airport in the last year. It ranks within the top 20 airports in the U.S. and has about 60,000 airport employees. It serves every major city in the continental U.S. within a four-hour flight time.
Plum Market has more than 25 multi-format locations across Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. Another location opening this year will be in Cleveland.
