Farbman Group, a full-service commercial real estate firm in Southfield, has created Apex Mechanical Solutions, a business unit that focuses on the heating and cooling operations of Farbman properties.

“With the current high demand for maintenance needs across commercial buildings in metro Detroit, paired with the talent shortage in the skilled trades, it was the right time to take matters in our own hands and create our own HVAC solution,” says Andrew V. Farbman, CEO of Farbman Group.

“Apex Mechanical will allow us to serve our clients’ heating and cooling needs faster and more efficiently than ever before, with the room to grow the business outside of our current client base to serve the broader need for more talent and service in the HVAC industry down the road.”

With Apex Mechanical, Farbman Group plans to create cost savings in its operations and capital projects.

Farbman Group hired Bracken Merritt to serve as the lead engineer for Apex Mechanical Solutions. He is a certified and licensed HVAC expert with more than five years of experience as a building engineer and maintenance technician.

Apex Mechanical Solutions joins the Farbman Group family of companies, including Huntington Construction, Huntington Maintenance Co., NAI Farbman, and FarbNET.

Farbman Group, founded in 1976, manages more than 25 million square feet of office, retail, multifamily, and industrial space throughout the Midwest.
