For families looking for a journey of prehistoric proportions, the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi will be home to the globetrotting expedition Dino Safari from May 28 to June 13.

The drive-thru dinosaur adventure will include more than 40 large, life-like and moving representations of Triceratops,  Parasaurolophus, Microraptor, T. rex of North America, and the giant amphibious Spinosaurus of Africa.

During the tour, guests will learn how dinosaurs evolved over time, where they called home, and the discoveries paleontologists have made about how they ate, moved, and behaved.

In addition, during the journey earthquakes might erupt, dinosaurs could battle, and there may be an opportunity to help save a baby dinosaur’s life. The organizers say the tour is a “completely COVID-19-safe experience.”

Dino Safari was developed by a leading producer of museum exhibitions, Imagine Exhibitions, Inc., in collaboration with paleontologist Dr. Gregory Erickson. The organizers say the event is “the most educationally rich, interactive, and immersive drive-thru dino experience on the market.”

Dino Safari offers a fun and family-friendly audio guide (available in English and Spanish) that plays directly through each car’s audio system, a feature exclusive to this one-of-a-kind experience.  Narrated by fun and welcoming characters, the prehistoric journey actively includes families while seamlessly integrating exciting thrills with real science in a fully engaging way.

Dino Safari offers every visitor a free survival pack that includes a scavenger hunt, coloring activity, and other fun surprises for a more interactive experience.

“We are thrilled to be bringing this safe and fun experience to families into Suburban Collection Showplace, particularly in light of the many challenges everyone has faced over the last year,” says Tom Zaller, president and CEO of Imagine Exhibitions, producer of Dino Safari. “There’s nothing more amazing than see a child’s face light up when they see our dinosaurs.”

Demand has been unexpectedly high with sellouts anticipated in the Detroit area, as this is the only place to see Dino Safari. Advance purchase is strongly recommended. Ticket prices begin at $49.95 per vehicle and are available through DinoSafari.com.

The Suburban Collection Showplace is located at 46100 Grand River Ave. in Novi.
