Huron Capital in Detroit, a middle-market private equity firm, today announced its commercial roofing and exterior facility services platform, Rampart Exterior Services, completed its first acquisition with the closing of Independent Roofing Systems Inc. in Pearl, Miss.
Independent is headquartered in central Mississippi and serves multiple industries, including education, government, industrial, and other commercial customers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1980, Independent has more than 40 years of history providing roofing services across various roofing types. Under the deal, Independent will continue to be run day-to-day by the existing leaders, Joe Naquin, Larry Montpelier, and Melissa Naquin, with operational and strategic support from Rampart CEO Gabe Mesanza.

Rampart Exterior Services was launched by Huron Capital in 2024 as an ExecFactor initiative focused on re-roofing, roofing repair, waterproofing, maintenance, and other exterior restoration services.
