In an effort to increase the amount of onsite projects at its facility, ESG automotive Inc., an engineering consulting company for automobile manufacturers and suppliers, has doubled the size of its Troy offices.
The expansion to the facility includes the addition of 6,000 square feet, for a total office space of 12,000 square feet. Company officials say that the additional space provides more room for functional verification and testing of electrical component systems and vehicles, as well as software development of apps and embedded systems.
“With the increased focus and demand for our design services and our automated test platform, it was imperative to increase our engineering and lab facilities,” says Steve Polakowski, president of ESG Automotive.
With the expansion, ESG Automotive is also looking to add 50 engineering and computer science professionals to its staff of 240 people. New employees will support projects ranging from software development to complete vehicle programs, Polakowski says.
ESG Automotive Inc. is a part of ESG´s Automotive Division, which has been a partner to international automotive manufacturers and suppliers for almost 30 years. ESG has more than 1,600 employees worldwide that work on the development, integration, and operation of safety-related electronics and IT systems.
The company is developing solutions for the mobility through embedded software, HMI and infotainment, connected car, test and integration, diagnostics, process management, training and learning solutions, eMobility, transportation, and Car IT.
