Madison Heights battery distributor Energy Products Inc. has acquired Global Battery Direct in North Carolina. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
It is expected the addition of Global Battery Direct will improve the Energy Products’ distribution network as it continues to grow. In the last five years, the company has established facilities in Michigan, Indiana, Texas, Florida, and Mississippi.

In addition to its Madison Heights headquarters, Energy Products has a branch in Grand Rapids as well as battery distribution centers in Carrollton, Texas; Byram, Miss.; Kissimmee, Fla.; and now Ocean Isle Beach, N.C.
The company’s product line includes industrial batteries and chargers, utility vehicles and equipment, and parts. Its services include battery distribution, repairs, battery recycling, and telecom decommissioning.
Global Battery Direct should benefit from Energy Products’ resources, industry expertise, and product portfolio. Together, the combination is expected to offer customers a broad selection of “top-tier” battery solutions, ensuring they have access to the latest innovations and technologies, at industry-leading prices.
