Elements Massage, a national massage therapy brand, has identified Detroit as a prime market for new studio expansion. The franchise system has two locations in Michigan – one in Birmingham and one in Troy – and consists of more than 240 independently owned and operated studios across the U.S.

There are currently 20 target trade areas for Elements Massage locations in metro Detroit that could bring 300 jobs to the market. The brand was founded in Colorado by licensed massage therapist Michele Merhib. She began franchising in 2006.

“Demand for massage therapy services continues to grow and grow, especially as wellness becomes a larger part of everyone’s daily routine,” says Matt Stanton, chief development officer of WellBiz Brands Inc. Elements Massage is a WellBiz brand. “Existing Elements Massage locations in Michigan have proven themselves, and the brand is excited for continued growth in Detroit to see that same success.”

The brand offers clients customized offerings. Memberships and services à la carte are available, and the company continues to add new products and services.

To keep clients and studio staff safe during the pandemic, the brand has implemented curbside check-in, health screening questions, client and team member temperature checks, protective face covering requirements, and cleaning and disinfecting guidelines.
