Muskegon-based EarthTronics, a developer of energy-efficient light products, today announced it has introduced square and round mini panel LEDs for interior and exterior commercial and residential surface-mount use.

The lights have a 50,000 hour-rated life and were created to suit new and renovated office buildings, hotels, hospitals, long-term care facilities, dormitories, and homes.

“EarthTronics mini panel LEDs could be considered the first major change in flush-mount fixtures in the last 20 years,” says Matthew Wagner, EarthTronics’ business development manager for LED products. “This important fixture category has been lifted from being simple drum or cloud fluorescent interior fixtures to a contemporary architectural design that includes upgraded color characteristics, mounting options, and wet location rating.”

The mini panel LEDs are available in 5.5-, 7-, and 9-inch models with either square or round designs in 11-, 14-, and 17-watts. They produce 700, 900, and 1200 lumens, respectively, and operate on 120VAC hertz and are compatible with standard incandescent dimmer controls, providing constant dimming from 5-100 percent.

Interior applications include surface ceiling, downlight retrofit and wall sconce for hallways, corridors, and general room illumination. The IP65 wet-rates mini panel LEDs are also applicable for bathroom showers and can be used in outdoor horizontal or vertical applications like walkway canopies or soffits. The LED fixtures operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 105 degrees.

Founded in 2007, EarthTronics sells products under the EarthBulb brand name.
