Beacon Park, a 1.5-acre public space located at Cass Avenue and Grand River avenues in Detroit, will celebrate its grand opening with the city’s inaugural Night Market from July 20-23. The park will have its grand opening on July 20.

The Night Market at Beacon Park will feature craft beer and cocktails, food trucks, handcrafted goods from local artists and entrepreneurs, and performances by Detroit area indie bands.

Sponsored by the Downtown Detroit Partnership (DPP), the market is slated to run every Saturday through Sept. 30, from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Featured vendors include Motor City Creations, Mama Coo’s Boutique, Detroit Girls Rock, Centurium’s Creations, David Vintage, National Red, Detroit Respect, Well Done Goods, Motor City Brock, The Smile Brand, and Purple Love.

Market vendors are curated by Jennyfer Crawford, founder of All Things Detroit, a community dedicated to improving Detroit’s small business landscape and sharing the city’s hidden gems.

An indie concert series will take place during each night of the market, and a full concert lineup will be announced soon. The Night Market at Beacon Park is open to the public at no cost.

Sponsored by DTE Energy, Beacon Park will also be home to a restaurant that will open in the fall, a central lawn, bicycle parking, and multi-use space for outdoor activities. The park is expected to draw more than one million visitors annually.
