The Courtyard by Marriott hotel in downtown Detroit has completed a $5 million renovation of its 260 guest rooms and hallways.
“The new guest rooms and suites are now more equipped than ever to provide both business and leisure travelers alike with the resources they need for a comfortable stay,” says Connie Gibson, general manager of Courtyard Detroit Downtown.
Gibson says the rooms feature new mattresses, workspace, a spacious bathroom, and a seating area. Each room has a 37-inch flat panel TV and free in-room Internet.
The 21-floor hotel, 333 E. Jefferson Ave., also has an indoor pool, nearly 7,000 square feet of meeting space, and a fitness center. Gibson says the hotel is conveniently located near the Riverwalk, the People Mover, and sports arenas such as the Joe Louis Arena and Comerica Park.
Standard guest rooms range from about $160 to $240. Other hotels in downtown Detroit include The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit, the DoubleTree by Hilton, the Hilton Garden Inn, the Greektown Casino Hotel, and the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, among others.
