Downtown Detroit Partnership Names Eric Larson as Acting CEO

2015

The Downtown Detroit Partnership announced today that Eric Larson will replace Dave Blaszkiewicz as the organization’s acting chief executive officer.

Larson — president and CEO of Larson Realty Group in Bloomfield Hills and a consultant to Rock Ventures in Detroit — will be responsible for working with the DDP’s board of directors and staff to set the strategic direction of the organization, as well as oversee operations.

“His dedication to this position will be vital as we work to implement some of the most monumental initiatives in downtown’s recent history, including the implementation of the Business Improvement Zone, coordination of stakeholders around M-1 Rail construction, safety and security coordination, and the activation of our public spaces,” said Cindy Pasky, chair of the organization.

Larson has been involved with the DDP as a board member since its inception in 1995, and served as chairman and board member of its preceding organizations, the Central Business District Association and Detroit Downtown Inc.

Paskey said Larson will also continue to serve the community through his roles as chair of the Parade Co. and The Robert C. Larson Leadership Initiative.
