The Downtown Detroit Partnership, with support from the Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone, has launched the Downtown Detroit Datascape, an interactive hub of information pertaining to the central business district.
The Datascape, which includes two new interactive tools, is designed to help people benchmark progress, support informed decision-making, and drive investment both downtown and throughout the city.
“Being able to access a wide variety of data increases our community’s engagement in shaping the future,” says Eric B. Larson, CEO of the Downtown Detroit Partnership. “By providing these new tools, we are increasing the capacity for greater understanding and inclusivity,”
The Downtown Detroit Datascape is available here. Key tools include:
- Metrics on Downtown Detroit (MoDD), which includes key facts and figures about downtown, including data on real estate development, demographic composition, and quality of life in the form of detailed maps, interactive graphs, and data downloads.
- Perceptions Survey Stakeholder Insights, a reimagined visualization of the DDP’s bi-annual Perceptions Survey, which offers detailed breakouts of perceptions that help support targeted insights.
DDP says the Downtown Datascape will be routinely updated with relevant information that is responsive to community needs and interests.
The partnership’s existing 3-D Interactive Map: Downtown Development Update also is featured on the Datascape.
